Your domain

Your domain, in your name.

Search for a name and see the real price straight away, including what it costs to renew. We register it for you, in your details.

Already own a domain? Check its status and renewal date.

    It's yours

    Properly yours.

    Registered in your name

You are the owner on the record. If the domain is for a business, the business should be the registrant.

    Move it any time

Want to leave? We help you transfer it.

    Reminders before renewal

We tell you early, with the price.

    No lock-in

Your domain is never held hostage.

    Renewals

    We remind you three times.

A domain expires at the end of the period you paid for. We email you the renewal price and ask you to confirm.

    1. 60 days before

The first email, with the price.

    2. 30 days before

A second reminder, with the price again.

    3. A week before

The last reminder, so nothing is missed.

We renew a domain once you have confirmed and paid. Read the full wording in our terms. Prices are on the pricing page.

More ways to get your name

Taken, too dear, or for longer.

Name taken? Ask us to get it.

We'll try to buy it from the owner for you. £9.99 if we can't get it, £20.99 if we can, plus whatever the owner asks, which you agree before we buy. No guarantee.

    Request a taken name

    Seen it cheaper elsewhere?

Send us proof and we'll match it if we can. Domains only, first registration only. Not promo codes, first-year deals or bundles, and never below our cost.

    Send a price match

Register for longer, pay less a year.

Choose 2, 3 or 5 years in the search results and the price per year drops. Years are paid in full when we buy the domain and are not refunded if you do not use them.

    Questions

    Domains, explained.

    What is a domain?

It is your address on the web, like yourbusiness.co.uk. People type it to find your website, and it is also the part after the @ in your email address.

    What does "registrant" mean?

The registrant is the legal holder of the domain, the owner on the record. We register your domain in your details, so you are the registrant from the start.

    Do I own it forever?

A domain is a registration that lasts for the period you pay for, and it has to be renewed. We remind you before every renewal, with the price, so it never lapses by surprise.

    What if it expires?

If a domain is not renewed it can stop working, and it may be released for someone else to register. That is why we email you 60 days, 30 days and a week before, and ask you to confirm.

Can I move it somewhere else?

Yes, at any time. We help you transfer it. (A domain usually cannot be transferred in its first 60 days after registration, which is a rule of the registries.)

Why does the price show per year and renewal?

The first year and the renewal can cost different amounts. We show both, plus the total for the years you choose, so you know what it costs now and later.
