A static website is made of ordinary files: pages (HTML), styling (CSS), a little JavaScript and images. Static hosting stores those files and shows them to anyone who types your domain, over HTTPS (the padlock in the browser).
Most small business sites are exactly this: who you are, what you do, your prices, your opening hours and how to get in touch. They do not need a database or a complicated system behind them.
Static hosting is what keeps your site online, and it is included in the care plan. There is no separate hosting price, and hosting is only available with the care plan.

Your site is served over HTTPS, so visitors see the padlock and their connection is private.

Static sites only
We do not offer ordinary web hosting. That means no WordPress, no database, and no PHP or other server-side programs.
Shops and bookings
A shop, online booking or a quiz needs more than static files. Those are quoted separately and may need another service alongside your site.

Common questions.
Can you host a site on a domain I already own?
Usually, yes. Tell us the name in your quote. We will tell you what needs changing so the domain points to your site.
What kind of files can I send?
Ordinary website files: HTML pages, CSS styling, a little JavaScript, and images. If you are not sure, send what you have and we will take a look.
Can I update the site myself?
If you send your own files, you can send us updates whenever you like. The care plan covers small changes if you would rather we did them.
Is hosting included in the care plan?
Yes. Static hosting is included in the care plan, and it is only available with it. If you do not want the care plan, we hand you your files and you host them elsewhere.
What happens if the care plan stops?
You get your website files, and the domain stays yours because it is registered in your name. The site comes down 30 days after notice. If a payment is missing we email you first. Read the wording in our terms.
